Well, another day has passed and you made it through! All of you are putting forward such great effort and I can tell this will be a great, successful year for all of you.

Your work for this evening is as follows:

Read Ch. 5 & 6 in "The Breadwinner"
Math - complete p. 210 #11 and p. 215 #11

Your compass rose is not due until Friday. And your cover for the short story "Knife" is not for homework. Good luck and see you tomorrow.

Happy Friday!

We all worked really hard this past week and a half at school. You have all done an amazing job keeping caught up or getting caught up with your homework. I know it was tough, but I promised you that once in a while, hard work would grant you a homework free evening. Well, this time it is a homework-free WEEKEND!

Thanks for another great week, I hope you enjoy your 3 days off. Remember, Monday is NO SCHOOL!

Homework for this evening:

Please finish and bring in your collage for tomorrow (Thurs)
In Science, finish reading p. 80 & 81 in your text and fill out the BACK side of your story impression. Remember, this side you will write about what those words mean AFTER reading about them.
For Friday, you should have Assignment #2 for The Breadwinner complete and handed in. Remember, this assignment focuses on Ch. 3 & 4 only.
Some of you are a little behind in the writing assignments. Please complete ASAP at the risk of losing marks.

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder of homework for this evening and upcoming due dates:

Due Tomorrow (Tue):

"Where I stuck my big toe this summer" story (2 pages)
Bring 10-15 items that represent who you are (i.e. pictures, art work, etc...) for collage

Due Wednesday:

"The Breadwinner" assignment #1 is due
French quiz on l'alphabet. Please study!

For now that is it. If you would like to work on your spelling and study your words, then please bring the work home with you to get ahead or catch up. It is very important to stay on top of things and not get left behind.

Another great day everyone! You all did great!

Items to remember to bring for tomorrow:

$ for gym T-shirt and for printing fee ($20)
Student information sheet (changed and filled out)
Parent email information
Make a list of countries where:

- You are from

- Your ancestors or family was from

- You/ family or friends have travelled to

- You know someone from

Let's get a list of countries going and see how much our little class has a connection across the globe! Try to remember all of this for tomorrow (Friday, September 8th)

Good evening all!

Wow! What a great day and a great start to our year. I really enjoyed meeting all of 7R and I hope that everyone is comfortable with me and the classroom. You all received alot of information today so I hope everyone sleeps well tonight...

There are a few things that you all need to remember to complete and bring back tomorrow morning. These include:

Signature from home that they have read "Everything You Need to Know About 7R..." so everyone understands the rules and procedures in 7R
Email address from mom or dad so that I can compile a parent email list (only if they have an email address)
Complete and / or change information on Student Information Package
Fill out and send away (do not bring back to school) Student Accident Insurance form if your parents wish to do so
Bring in your $15 for Cougars gym shirt (please give in to the office)
Bring in your $5 paper fee for printing (please give in to the office)
And don't forget to bring a novel to school for our daily reading!

Hopefully this isn't too much for tonight. You were all great today and I am looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow.

Hello everyone!

My name is Mrs. Rouire and I look forward to a great year with you. This blog is an excellent place for students and parents to check up on homework, tests and assignments. I will be entering homework daily along with daily reports of classwork and upcoming events.

Both parents and students can use this as a tool for communication with me as you can respond to any of my postings should you have a question or concern. I will be checking daily for replies and will respond immediately to any concerns you may have.
